Under the direction of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) and in conjunction with Alliance Counseling Center, we are dedicated to facilitating human/horse interactions to foster healing. Since any horse farm has horses from the very young to older, more seasoned and experienced equines, we have the privilege of choosing gentle, approachable horses for our Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program (EAP). With over 25 years experience in the field of mental health, The Center at Heron Hill is under the quality leadership of Joyce Korschgen, LPC, EAP. The parent clinic, Alliance Counseling Center, is recognized as holding to the highest standard of care that extends to the work with horses. Alliance is a State Certified Mental Health Facility.

If you are a professional mental health clinician or have another interest in the EAP model and would like to be included in a demonstration of the methods used in EAP please either email us here or contact Joyce directly at the main Alliance Counseling Center number: 503-221-4531.
