Processing the Pandemic
July 31 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 12:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until August 28, 2021
This group is for youth 7-13 years of age. It is an open group that will be ongoing over the course of the summer April-August. It will be offered twice during the day every other Saturday: once from 12pm-1:30pm and the other time at 2:00 pm- 3:30 pm. The purpose of this group is to provide a space for youth to share their experiences in the pandemic with peers their age. We will focus on socializing with others, emotional sharing, discussing challenges/successes, and school/family struggles.
Outdoor structured activities will occur that will provide teamwork, skill building, art-based activities, peer-peer interaction, animal-human interaction. The limit of youth in each group is 8. Availability will be limited so there may be times where you may be unable to attend that week but will be prioritized the following session. This group will practice social distancing but there will times where youth will engage in close proximity to each other during activities. If someone in your family is in a high-risk health category, this must be considered. Lastly, if someone in your family is feeling ill, please stay home and if someone tests positive for COVID please contact me immediately.
If you are planning on attending this group please reach out to Aaron Adamski through call/text or email: 503-770-0423. firstname.lastname@example.org
