Hava Dennenberg, QMHP
Hava Dennenberg has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University and comes to Heron Hill with over 15 years of social work experience spanning the country, from New York City and San Francisco to rural and urban parts of Oregon. Hava has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a certificate in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute.
Hava’s work with others has been spent in a variety of settings including the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office Sex Crimes, School Crimes, and Domestic Violence units, community-centered mental health with high acuity clients, and work with houseless youth. She is well versed in collaborative problem solving, non-violent communication and work with families and LGBTQ youth.
Hava finds herself particularly drawn to and passionate about the use of mindfulness practices, narrative therapy techniques and emotional regulation as building blocks for fostering grounding and empowerment in others, and in the power of interactions with one’s physical environment and relationships with other sentient beings (animals) which can facilitate in the healing process. She looks forward to becoming formally trained narrative therapy, in the principles of trauma informed yoga and EAGALA-based equine therapy.
