Ian McHugh, QMHP, Mental Health Student Intern
After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in psychology, Ian moved to the Pacific Northwest to pursue his education in counseling and to nourish his love of the outdoors. His passion for counseling stems from his love of people and his desire to provide compassionate support to those seeking to improve their lives. Ian’s love of the outdoors comes from his appreciation of the grounding, teaching, and restoring effects of a connection to nature. His prior experience includes college mentorship positions and individual counseling through Lewis and Clark’s Community Counseling Center. As a current graduate student at Lewis and Clark, he is most passionate about working with those struggling with anxiety and depression, trauma, emotional regulation, addiction, and difficulty adjusting to change.
