Noah McCarter, Mental Health Student Intern

Noah McCarter is a current student at Lewis and Clark’s master’s in professional Mental Health Counseling program with a focus in Eco Psychology. Noah graduated from Warren Wilson College majoring in Outdoor Leadership. He has spent several years working as a wilderness therapy and adventure guide across the country and views nature connection as a powerful therapeutic modality for change. Noah has also been trained and worked as an environmental and experiential educator with all ages. Additionally, he has received training in peer support and addiction recover coaching.

Noah believes in a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy where the client is empowered to make the changes that they want to achieve in their lives. As a Counselor Noah believes change occurs through gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves and our values. This can be done through exploring how we find meaning in our life and in our connections with others.

In his free time Noah enjoys any activity that gets him outside including hiking, rock climbing, and fishing.
