Lauren Hisada, HTR, State Registered Mental Health Associate EXT: 2243

Following A BA in Studio Art and subsequent work as an art critic in Dublin, Ireland, Lauren became fascinated by the restorative power of immersive nature, and decided to pursue a career in Horticultural Therapy. Upon her  return to the States, she became an AHTA-registered Horticultural Therapist (HTR) and enrolled in Lewis & Clark’s Professional Mental Health Counseling (PMHC) Masters program in order to supplement HTR training with clinical licensure. Presently, she is in her final year at Lewis & Clark, where she plans to become certified in Ecopsychology alongside a Masters in counseling. Some of my focal areas include issues related to trauma, identity development, invisible illness, attachment, and eco-anxiety. Lauren conducts her work through an ecological lens, which explores the social, environmental and cultural contexts that surround and inform one’s struggles.
