About Journey Wellness

journey wellness pathJourney Wellness is a non-clinic based program developed at The Center at Heron Hill. Our mission is to foster wellness, promote education, and encourage community connection through inspiring a thriving relationship with nature. By being a non-clinic based program, we can offer a variety of topics and activities. We aim to be creative in our approach and flexible with programming.

Programs Offered

Programs occur year round and will almost always be outside somewhere on our 60 acre horse farm. Some programs offered through Journey Wellness may include: groups, workshops, retreats, youth camps, classes, CEUs, as well as other opportunities. Programs offered will range in topic and may include elements of: mindfulness, meditation, movement, art, working with animals, yoga, gardening, outdoor life skills, and archery.

Registration

Full payment is due upon registration for each program through Journey Wellness. Your spot in the program will not be guaranteed until full payment is received. We purposefully limit our program size to maximize participation. Because of this, programs can fill up fast, so make sure to register soon. Please click on the hyperlink provided for the program you are interested. If you have any questions or concerns about registration or the program, please contact us.

Retreats

We now offer personalized retreats! Let us create an outdoor based retreat based on your needs. We can offer retreats that range from professionally focused (e.g. professional self-care, healthy workplace, team building), to a personal retreat (e.g. ceremonies, self-reflection, self-care), or even something geared toward children and teens (e.g. farm/nature education, nature based mindfulness, connection and self-regulation). Please click here for more information!

Continuing Education Credits

Continuing Education Credits are now offered and will be in compliance with CE rule requirements according to OAR 833 Chapter 080. Classes will be outdoors (regardless of weather) and experiential in nature. In order to maximize participation, groups will be limited to no more than 10 participants. Given that space is limited, please sign up soon to secure your spot!

*If any organization would like to coordinate a scheduled class at the farm for their specific group based on topics currently offered, please contact us!*

In conjunction with some classes offered, there will be an opportunity for you to participate in an overnight retreat at the farm at an additional cost. There will be flexible programming during these overnights based on the topic presented that day. You are welcome to participate in the overnight retreat without having to sign up for the class. Please click on the class/date you are interested in for more information! (You will be required to bring your own gear and food, as we are unable to supply that at this time.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I’m interested in a program/activity/topic, but I don’t see any currently being offered. How do I sign up?
A: Please contact us. Knowing your interest will help us to decide which programs to offer next. Also, we may be able to tell you about a program soon to be offered, or even create a program based on your suggestion.

Q: I’m apart of an organization (e.g. school, business) that is interested in doing a specialized retreat/group/workshop. Is it possible to create an organization specific activity?
A: Yes! Please contact us and tell us your ideas!

Q: Is it possible to create a one time specialized program, not connected to a specific organization? For instance: a personal retreat, family team building, fostering established friend connections, transition ceremonies, grief ceremonies, etc.
A: While there may be some limitations in what we can provide, we are always interested in creative ways to expand Journey Wellness. Please contact us and tell us your ideas!

Q: Do you have any scholarships available?
A: We don’t yet have any scholarships available. We are hoping to work toward this goal.
