Do you often have guilt feelings when you stand up for yourself? Is it easier for you to be concerned with others rather than yourself? Do you struggle to connect with your own experience and needs at the expense of pleasing others?
If you grew up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional home, these are normal feelings for the confusing and invalidating messages that you received as a child.
Wednesday mornings 9-9:50AM
Beginning Wednesday, November 9th ending on Wednesday, December 14th
Limited to 6 participants
$47 per session (cost covered by insurance)
For more information, please talk to your current therapist.
In this group we will explore art and mindfulness practices to reconnect to our inner child. You will gain support and tools as you continue to recover from the losses that you experienced growing up. Art Therapy will act as a way to be creative, playful, and expressive. Mindfulness will support with managing stress and anxiety and developing self-compassion.
Please note: as this is a virtual group you will have to supply your own basic, non-expensive art materials. You will receive a list in advance. If this prohibitive please reach out to us and we will find a way to support you.
