Ground and Grow in the Summer Garden
June 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until August 10, 2022
This is an 8-week Horticultural Therapy group for youth aged 12-16, who want to feel more connected to self, others, and their environment through fun and soothing activities in the summer garden. Smell, feel, look, and listen your way through the garden beds as we get our hands in the soil and learn about how plants and people build community and thrive. Develop skills for reducing anxiety and isolation, enhancing self-worth and belonging, and for increased comfort around loss, growth, and other areas of change. This group will meet from 11-12pm for 8 consecutive weeks and will begin June 22nd and end August 10th. No prior gardening experience necessary! Activities are inclusive and adaptable. Tools will be provided.
